This traditional story is part of the oral traditions of the ɬaʔamin and other Indigenous peoples and is their cultual and intellectual property. No single ɬaʔamin person holds ownership to the qayχ stories. These stories are owned collectively and each ɬaʔamin person must uphold responsibility in the telling.
